The pictures are taken in the Glacial Lagoon: Jökulsárlón almost famous from the James Bond movie Die another day. You don't see many Aston Martins driving around the Lagoon these days though. For those of you who haven't been there I had to put in some bonus pics. The icebergs on the last picture won't fit into your drink anytime soon. The pictures are taken in the summer by the way. It's now time to think about buying the New Year's fireworks. This year you can buy fireworks with pictures of politicians. Or why not blow up the chairman of the National bank of Iceland that refuses to resign despite all the the recent demonstrations in Iceland demanding his resignation? The money for the fireworks will be used for a good cause saving lost tourists or people like Dad that get their car stuck on top of a glacier. What did those Swedish politicians do again that forced them to resign? Forgot to pay their TV fee or bought a Toblerone with the wrong VISA card? We live in different universe.

When you grow quickly people tend buy you presents that doesn't fit straight away. Then you don't have to risk getting things that are already too small. I got these shoes from my aunt and uncle. Dad got a school bus with blinking lights or maybe the tags on the packages got mixed up?

Christmas trees often come with all kinds of bugs and spiders. Ours came with a dinosaur.

On the way home we stopped by at a Christmas party. They had really nice rubber ducks in the bathroom. I got to stay awake until over 10 o'clock. One of the bands playing Christmas carols downtown also dropped by and of course you have to sing along.

On December 23th Icelanders go downtown to get rid of the fish smell and buy the last Christmas presents. The shops are open until midnight. Many people like Dad buy all their Christmas presents this evening. I got to see the moving toy penguins. We didn't see any live penguins in the streets this year.

Here I am back at the airport in Iceland at midnight. The trip went really well. Mom didn't cry at all. I convinced the boss flight attendant that Mom was a really annoying Mom that couldn't stay still for a second so I got a seat for Mom though the flight was crowded and there where maybe 15 babies bringing their Mom's home for Christmas. I didn't sleep at all though I was so busy looking after her.
Today we celebrate Rotten Fish Day. Yesterday they had Ammonium fish at Dad's job. When he came home he had to change his clothes he smelled so bad from just beeing in the same room as the fish dish.

Today I learned how to pull the legs of my pyjamas up to my chest. For the rest of you that wonders what the cute thing about running around like a senior citizen or as if you were wearing a gymnastics outfit for girls that's what you do in Iceland when you have to cross deep rivers by foot. You can cross rivers just for the fun of it or to save tourists that think it's a pice of cake but forget they are supposed to look straight ahead and look down just to get paralyzed and stuck in the middle of the river. So the pyjama trick is very useful. I also learned how to spin in circles ending up walking around like a drunk.
