One of my favourite occupations these days is walking around the apartment like this talking to myself inside the bucket.

This weekend I was travelling with Dad and my friends. We stayed overnight in the cabin at Holaskogur. The mission of the trip was to find a good hill to slide down on a stiga sledge. It was a bit too windy for me though so we gor to hang out in the car.

Friendship is not always mutual. Well, at least if it involves sitting down for more than three seconds in a row looking super cute for the camera guy. But the picture is funny isn't it? If you click on the title you get to the photo theme page.

This is how cute I look after breakfast. As you can see our kitchen chairs are now tied to the table so that I can't walk around with them and climb things. Mom and Dad usually have breakfast standing up. They are too lazy to untie the kitcten furniture. Yesterday I tried to swallow a coat hanger when Mom wasn't looking. It was too big. Mom had to pull the hook out of my throat. Do not try that at home. The hook gets really stuck.
Can someone please explain to me why I'm not allowed to go swimming in the downtown pond?
I go swimming all the time. And I wasn't just going to dive in I was going in really carefully with my feet first.

My blog is now one year old. It has become something of a kid's travel picture blog. So I figured I'll have an anniversary post with some old pictures I found. Most of them haven't been posted before. I started travelling at 3 weeks. Last summer was extremely hot and very cold. I went to the beach a lot with my friends. In July at 10 months I went on my first camping/hiking trip. Why start small when you can start off by staying in a tent for more than a week? The first night we were dropped by a boat in the middle of nowhere making it impossible to chicken out on the camping part and go home. First night Mom and Dad's air mattress got a big hole in it. Luckily they had mattresses in the old house they could borrow. I slept really well in the fresh air. You can see my fleece pyjama outfit on one of the pictures. I loved walking along the tent and hiding out in it. And Dad did all the hiking with me in a fancy backpack seat.
In August I stood on my own for the first time. It was during a photo shoot for the blog in front of the rock formations at Vik on the south coast. I hope you have noticed you can find pictures from our trips in the pictures from Iceland section to the right or look for pictures from different parts of the country.

All these embarrassing things seem to happen to me when I go swimming with Dad. Now I have learned how to jump in and swim back to the poolside. So I figured I should take it to the next level. Last week I ran from the children's pool and jumped into the big pool where the youth swim team was practising laps. They threw me out though before I got to show how good I was.
