I arrived in Sweden late last night. Everything went really well. I didn't run out of trolleys or bins to play with.

I thought this was a real safety gate. I just saw it's a fake. Funny story by the way. I was just going to call Mom's cousin to say thanks! Never mind.

Hundreds of litterbins. They taste allright and they all have pictures of me.

Spacious. The christmas tree decorations also tasted OK.
Lots of free rides.
Saga Class (business class) check in. That must be me.

Free money. Do you think 10 sek will be enough for the trip?

Speaking about shoes. Yesterday the first Icelandic Yule Lad (tomtenisse) came to town. Then you have to put your shoe in the window before you go to sleep. If you're lucky he gives you a small present but if you've been bad you might end up with a potatoe in your shoe next morning. There is one jólasveinn coming every night until Christmas. They are all 13 (!) sons of Gryla who tried to eat me last weekend.

We have snow in the garden now. The sidewalks usually have hot water pipes lying beneath the surface so there's not much snow on the streets at all. You'd better wear shoes though, even if the sidewalks are heated.

I'm coming to Sweden in 2 days. I've heard they have a lot of stuff just lying around in Swedish drawers and cupboards within 1m or so from the floor that need liberating. The airline still thinks I'm too young to travel on my own though so Mom has to come with me.

Here is the evidence. Iceland has stopped handing out weapons downtown and started to hand out vegetable soup in stead.
Today Mom and I wet downtown to the Post office to mail a package. I managed to break into the restricted staff area by crawling under a counter that Mom would never fit through. Genius. Then I ran off hoping they would weigh me and send me off to some neat destination. At the end of the day Mom paid my bail and the post office staff handed me over.

It's time for one of those happy, seasonal family events: the Christmas card photo shoot. Of course I can't reveal the Christmas card here just yet. These nice pics that were not chosen will have to do for now. You also might want to check out how cute I was last year.

This weekend I ran into Gryla which is the most hideous and horrifying monster we have in Iceland. She comes from the mountains at Christmas in search of children to eat. She captured me using her cat as bait but I got away. It was a close call.
