While Mom was working 36 hours to pay for more trips I went to the Westfjords with Dad for the weekend. We stayed in my great grandfathers and great grandmothers house. The one in the left corner. The houses in the fjord are nowadays only used as summer houses. People gave up on living there all year round. So why do you drive for 6 hours straight just to stay there for one day and drive the 6 hours back again the next day. As you might remember Dad went to the end of the world also 2 weeks ago! Well, they do have the nicest swimming pool. It is open 24 hours and you pay the entrance fee in a bucket in the locker room. It is located on the beach with the greatest of views. I got to go swimming at 10pm because my great grandmother let me take a nap for 4 hours while the other went out at sea. The main reason for the trip will follow in my next post.

I speak a lot these days. I say meira about everything. Sometimes it's the first thing I say in the morning and Mom and Dad don't always seem to understand just what it is I want more of.
At the end of our trip last weekend I ran almost into the impact point of this waterfall and when we came back out again I said meira and dragged Mom back into the cloud of water for another round.
I use some words that are really complicated like krokodil (crocodile) and I say things like keyra pabba bíll (drive dad's car) that are almost sentences. I point out all big jeeps I see and say pabba bíll. I say pabba bíll maybe 300 times a day.
As you might know Dad also has a small Chinese Vespa. When Mom and I was driving towards the swimming pool the other day a big motorcycle passed us at very high speed. Then I reached out and yelled pappaaaa.
I like Dad's car so much I don't want to get out of it. If we go somewhere short like to the supermarket I say meira and get angry when I have to leave the car.

IKEA is celebrating the national day today with a huge ad at the back of today´s paper. You might think I helped them with the spelling.

This is the view we had of the south coast coming down from the glacier. On the second picture you see the Westman Islands. We went on the same trip last year crossing the Myrdalsjökull glacier and staying 2 nights in a cabin behind it. Here are the picture from last time.

I'm back from my weekend trip. It involved crossing a glacier by car. While waiting for the 485 pictures to load here is an old picture from here. Click on the title to get to the photo theme page.

I now look a bit like as if they forgot my car seat and pulled me on my face after the car in a rope. It is almost true. I got a new car with a string attached to it last weekend and I was so busy pushing it around I took a dive on my nose.
The playground Mom and I go to has now been invaded by a boy camp of older school kids on summer vacation. They were really impressed by my looks and asked about what happened. Then they asked Mom to take me away when I followed their every step around the playground.
I'm not a shy person and I think I'm in fact much older than I am. People just don't seem to realize that. Remember when I tried to join the swim team. A couple of weeks ago I joined soccer practise. There is a soccer field just behind my grandparents house. I went outside, found my way into the field, which is only possible though one small entrance behind the goal on each side because there is a large fence. Then I ran around kicking the balls and when no one joined I went up to the kids sitting in a circle, sat down and joined strategy talk. Then Mom came and ruined my soccer carer.
