I didn't feel the big earthquake today. I had just been swimming and we were at a cafe with the other babies. The lights were swinging back and forth for a long time afterwards in the ceiling. Here you can see news footage of the earthquake area. A friend of a woman at Mum's job saw the highway 1 crack as she was driving. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Picture from www.mbl.is

Mum went on a trip to Mýrdalsjökull with her job and I wasn't allowed to come although I had loads of glacier experience and local knowledge! In stead they choose to go with these so called mountain guides.

I now stay at home looking after after Dad in stead of Mum.
I have to remember to let him eat and sleep and take him for walks. Yesterday he built a flash device for his camera out of cardboard and aluminium foil. I'm so proud.

We had a really warm day today in Iceland. When the weather is good Icelanders pick nick on the grass in front of the Parliament. Although Mum and Dad forgot to bring my bag so I only got this dry bread.

We had very Icelandic weather up north 1°C and snowfall. The first day I slept on the poolside in the city outdoor pool. For a moment I thought about crying just to make mum or dad stand there on the poolside in their swimwear in the summery weather pulling the stroller to make me stop. That would have been a funny picture to publish here wouldn't it?

On the way back home from Akureyri today we stopped to watch a lamb being born. In September the newborn lamb will be about 10 times their weight while I'm 3-4 times my birthweight at the most. And I got a head start and all being 8 months already. I have to eat more to keep up the competition.
I also got to go horseback riding. As you can see I just had to pick a horsehair to bring back as a souvenir.

I'm really proud of my cooking last weekend. First I made a green salad and then I made a starter with smoked puffin, melon and horseradish.
