Here I am chewing on a piece of wood I found in the garden. If you climb 2 flights of stairs with a piece of wood holding on to it the whole time you are allowed to keep it afterwards. I have yet to find out if Dad lets me sleep with it as well.

This is how all kids look when wrapped in 100 layers of clothing and tied down in the car.

We visited the brand new, fancy gas station Staðarskáli on our trip to Akureyri. It had a playroom with a kid´s fire extinguisher! What do you think caught my attention the toy table or the fire extinguisher? Click on the title to learn more great tricks.

I haven't had time to post the pictures from Akureyri. If you ever go there don't miss the skiing facilities, the water slides in the the outdoor swimming pool or the café in the blue house on the last two pictures.

The trip to Akureyri is an almost 5 hour drive so you have to make a lot of stops when you travel with someone as impatient as me. Here is another gas station stop when I checked out dogs.

Update: This was what the red lights looked like in Akureyri. Not all of them but some. Since we were there on Saturday I don't know if it was something related to Valentines Day or if they look like this all the time? It was kind of disappointing when you didn't get a red light.

Do you think she's into guys that are shy?

Today I got new kitchen equipment. Mom says it's too dangerous for me to work in their kitchen. Or maybe not. I started off by karate punching my toy oven window in and a bit later I had to call for Dad because my head was stuck inside the oven and I couldn't get out. It's so much cooler to break the window when the food is ready don't you think?
Tomorrow my almost two week house arrest is at an end and we're going to Akureyri to visit friends. I promise to post from my mobile.

These pictures of the sea and shore are taken near Dýrhólaey just off Vík on the south coast. Click on the title to get to the photo theme page.

I learned to say my first name a while ago. It's the downstairs neighbour. (Sorry grandma and grandpa!) He is my best friend. When I say his name I knock. He makes a lot of noise with his cool tools working in the apartment. I'm still not feeling well so I lie and watch TV all day. When I saw this commercial I said his name and knocked. I'm so smart; neighbour, tools, beer. Almost a complete sentence.

I don't remember if I picked this one up watching debate programmes on TV:
"da da da da da da da da da da da da sssschhh"

Mom stayed at home from work today because she wasn't feeling well. Moms tend to feel bad if they miss out on things you do when they're at work; your first words, your first steps. So it's good to get things over with when you're at home with Mom. At least until today I thought so.
Today I learned how to climb; the stove using the oven lid, the kitchen chairs, the kitchen table, out of my bed onto the really high cupboard next to it. You name it. One could say we had a climbing theme day. For some reason she was not so thrilled.
Those of you who have followed my blog know I have quiet a temper if I don't get what I want. If not check it out here. It's an understatement my day today was disappointing. When my neighbour came by tonight she asked if I was sick since I had been crying all day. She was going away to spend the night at her mother's she said.
I kind of got the feeling today Mom wanted me mounted to the ground like this mountain toilet on the picture. She hid the kitchen chairs behind her bed and I think it's only a matter of time before the stove ends up there too. I have a feeling from now on she will spend her relaxing sick days at work.
Mom got this nice award from her friend Sally. She passes it on to her cousin Äjj-Käjj because her blog is so hilarious and then I think it also makes Mom feel good to know she doesn't have 3 times me to entertain while she is on the toilet, to carry around places or to keep the next door neighbours away from home.

Since Dad was away all weekend with our car his Vespa had to do. A bit too snowy though. Mom wouldn't let me go for a ride.
I never intended to write about politics here. It was a bit hard though not mentioning last years change of events. Yesterday we got our first female prime minister in Iceland. She is also the first leader in the world ever who is open about being a homosexual.
