Last night a new eruption started, this time under the Eyjafallajökull glacier near the old volcanic crater. The last eruption was in the 1800:s. They are waiting for a big flood any minute now down the Markarfljót river. The old bridge across the river is now underwater and they are digging canals trough the main road to try to save the new bridge when the flood reaches is. People are evacuated and flights are not allowed in the area. Holes were visible in the glacier this morning and then the river was already 1m higher than it usually is.

Time has been passing really quickly. I've been travelling in Iceland the last two days. I also forgot to post many of the pictures from Sweden while we were busy preparing for Christmas here in Iceland. But now I'm back again and ready to post.

Dad is taking part in an photo exhibition in the Reykjavík City Hall. The picture (above) even made it onto the poster. The pictures are for sale and the money goes to Mæðrastyrksnefnd. It's the people who hand out food for families that are struggling with their economy. Don't miss it if you are in the downtown area.

Don't leave your Dads lying around for too long on the ground or they might get dizzy.
