We had 17°C today. Mum met a guy from Spain at work that had to change his clothes because of the extreme heat. When Spanish people wear T-shirts in Iceland it's hot. They also killed a polar bear in Iceland today believe it or not. If you don't believe me you can read about it here.

Hi Sindri,
I'm your mom's third cousin, once removed and live in Washington State where the weather today was nowhere near 17 degrees; closer to 10, I'd say. We weren't killing any polar bears, but may have succeeded in getting rid of a few mice. A few pesky marmots are on the list as well. We're busy fencing our orchard and putting in some irrigation so our trees will survive the deer and drought while we go to Sweden for the summer. Sue and I enjoy your blog - keep up the good work and say "hi" to mum and dad. Take care, Charles

Thank you! Mom says hi. We hope that you'll have a nice stay this year in Sweden! We heard they had 30°C the other day.

Hejsan! Jo här i Sverige har vi värmebölja med 25-30 grader varje dag. Härligt, men växtligheten börjar längta efter regn. Underbar kamp med matskålen!! Lite envis eller?
