Yesterday Ísafjörður was warmer than Rome. It was 14°C. Ísafjörður is one of those remote places in the Westfjords where you can expect to find yourself stuck for a few days in wintertime because of poor road conditions or cancelled flights due to bad weather. We had really nice weather when we went there last summer. We probably also had 14°C.
Most of Europe seems to have had chillier weather than Iceland. You had to travel as far south as Barcelona to find warmer temperatures. Read all about it here. Though the comparison is made at 18:00. At 18:03 Ísafjörður probably had a hale storm and temperatures dropped by 14 degrees. Typical Icelandic weather.
