I'm starting baby swimming again in September. I guess Mom and Dad think I have forgotten all the tricks from last time. To start baby swimming you need to sign up early. The fastest baby to sign up where I go baby swimming did so 28 weeks before birth.

This weeks photo theme is "guess the city". Since we have so many cities it should be fairly easy...We don't have daylight saving here in Iceland. There's no need. We have sunsets in the summer but it doesn't get dark. Then you can walk along the seaside and take pictures like these. The first is of the Snæfellsjökull glacier, the second is the Sólfari viking ship and the third is the church which is it's main landmark.

How lucky can you get. Since our camera is broken I don't have to climb a mountain tonight and sit there freezing my ears off waiting for earth hour. The pictures are taken 2,5 years ago when the city of Reykjavik turned off all street and city lights as a festival event. You were supposed to lie down in the streets and watch the stars. Hmmm, notice any difference in the pictures at all? The problem wasn't that people weren't interested in turning their lights off. There is just too much light pollution for these things to work.

When we read this book there is a page where Elvis is on the stage singing in front of a female crowd. They are screaming, reaching out for him, throwing kisses at him and one of them is crying. I always point it out. Today when Mom asked what Elvis was doing I sang itzy bitzy spider. What does she know about what he was singing?

Our camera just got a scratch mark on it and might be beyond repair. I thought I was starting play school this fall but now I probably won't get in until I'm 3 years old. That means Mom has to work when Dad is not working and they never meet. I don't quiet see the problem. They see me. Mom has a cold and today she also got sick and had a knee problem that makes it hard to walk. Our carpenters stood us up and have to work on the biggest parquet floor. It was flooded and now needs 2 carpenters working 6 weeks putting new parquet on it. They say he's really having a hard time this parquet guy. Someone with such a large floor wouldn't have the means to move somewhere else if his home was flooded. He probably has no friends. And he doesn't pay a penny more than we would have done for changing our windows. No. Our carpenters are just very good hearted and pity him so much. That means our 46 sq meter apartment is full of windows and stuff. My stroller just had a flat tire. Did I mention the sun was shining today? At last I hope Mr parquet guy reads my blog. Just so you know you're being totally screwed by those carpenters.

We have a lot of power plants in Iceland. I'm guessing these power lines comes from the þjórsá river that has at least 5 different power plants. Talk about making the most out of one natural resource. Click on the title to get to the photo theme page. I do promise not to post any more power lines now.

I'm back again after my break. At least I think so. I learned to say milk since my last post. But I leave the vocals out and say "mjlk". Vocals are overrated. Then it's also the same if you say it in Swedish or Icelandic. I'm smart you see. Now I can ask for milk all day long and Mom and Dad both thinks it's super cute. Though tonight I threw up...

We went to a summerhouse this weekend with my friends. All pictures above are taken earlier today in just over an hour time span. I think they are very representative for Icelandic weather. They say if you don't like the weather here you just have to hang in a minute and then you're in for something completely new.

One of my favourite occupations these days is walking around the apartment like this talking to myself inside the bucket.
