I got my first parking ticket today for parking on the sidewalk. I tried to explain I'm underage and that I didn't drive. They just left me with no money to pay for the parking when I was asleep.

The flight to Copenhagen was delayed but we managed to catch the connecting flight anyway. The flight attendants on the other flight to Keflavík seemed very sweet at first. They gave me two seats of my own and told the people who were sitting there to move somewhere else because I needed more space. I managed to stay awake until they started serving the chicken but then they didn't give me my double meal. I didn't get any. I shouted like crazy but they just ignored me until I fell asleep. Mum thought it was really sweet that I didn't wake up when she put me into the baby carrier before landing, when they turned on the lights, when she went shopping in the tax free store, when she was fetching the luggage or walked me through customs. The fact is I just hung there playing dead because I didn't want to play any part in getting the 38kg of dubious stuff through customs.

Dad, if you see this please send me more money. The exchange rate is at an all time low. My allowance is 40% less than it would have been a year ago due to the falling Icelandic currency.
They also have bigger tires than I in Sweden.

Here is a follow up on yesterday's post to rule out any concerns about me not being dressed properly in Sweden. Elderly people tend to worry about those things. But there is no need to call the Child Protection Agencies. Although it is kind of difficult to move around dressed like this.

We have been shopping all week. Mum is not very good at buying me clothes. This is my new Easter outfit. It might be good that it's waterproof though cause I hear Swedes go to watch the bonfire on Easter. And I guess I won't be run over on the way with all these reflectors

They made me watch Eurovision when I arrived in Sweden. Here is the song that won. She is not very popular in Iceland after having pushed down the Icelanders to second place 1999 in the big final. Mum told me some people were so offended they deliberately cut off the Swede's heads in photographs they were asked to take. So if you were a tourist in Iceland in 1999 and got your head chopped off in a picture you now know it was all Charlotte's fault.

First I went by plane to Stockholm. I managed to scare off the man wearing a suit that was supposed to sit next to mum so that I got my own seat. However I didn't get a chance to use it because I fell asleep on take off and didn't wake up again until we landed almost three hours later. It's hard having to wake up at 04:30 in the morning.
Then we took another flight to Gothenburg. And then I had to go by car. It was all very tiring. To get onto the second flight mum had to leave a fingerprint and taste my food. They were checking if she was for real. You are not allowed to bring mums onto the airplanes these days that are not for real.

I sit on the poolside and dad is stretching his arms towards me from the water below.
D:Sindri
S:Diving? Head first? You can't be serious?
D:C'mon
S: No way! Do you know how many diving-related head injuries there are each year?
D:Sindri
S: Did you know nine out of ten diving injuries occur in 1,8m of water or less? This is a freakin shallow baby pool!
D:Sindri
S: You are not going to give up are you? OK then but I'm jumping in feet first. You better be right this time!

I have started packing for the trip to Sweden. Yesterday when I went to mom's job to print the tickets for her I found out I can bring 10kg of luggage. Mom wasn't going to let me bring any luggage on my own but now I have a paper to prove it. I got the grand tour while I was there and I got to try out one of the beds in the new apartment. Although everything wasn't quiet finished yet so I had to sleep outside in the street while they had lunch. Anyway, now I think I'm all set for the trip.

On Saturday we went on a trip and stayed overnight in the mountain cabin at Svartárbotnar between the Langjökull and Hofsjökull glaciers. It is on the Kjölur route. Dad still didn't want me to drive his car. I think he was afraid that I would break it now that it was finally working again after having spent whole last week fixing it. I got to borrow his friend's car in stead. It was a bit tricky to shift gear. I'm not tall enough yet to reach the gear stick and when I finally got there it was so exciting I got distracted from the whole driving thing. Here is a picture of me packing my sleeping bag in the cabin before we went home again.

For the enthusiastic passenger it's necessary to hang out of the window at every stop. When you can't chew gum because your parents think it would make you choke a wet car window has to do. Dad took me to so many Car Parts Dealers today I think he is secretly selling small pieces of our car. We went in my grandfather's car and our car hasn't been around forever.

Today I have been around for 1/2 year. Last week I was finally allowed to leave the floor and sit on my own in the sofa like normal people do. It was such a relief. I thought I was going to be left to lie there until my 55th birthday.
If you come to close to where I'm sitting I can grab your shirt, stand up and bite your nose so you have to watch out.

I've started heating up for the trip to Sweden. I think mom and I will stay in this yellow IKEA tent when we get there. I'm so looking forward to it. Mom says I have a grandmother and grandfather living in IKEA in Sweden that we will visit. Dad took this picture of me with his big zoom lens and I was almost handed in to the lost children's department by the people passing by he was so far away.

We had the best weather ever today. It was amazing. We usually have 3 different kinds of weather just during my daily nap in the garden. I sleep with a thermometer and it can often differ 10°c in an hour or two. I sometimes have a hale storm, snow, rain and sunshine during the same nap.
I took my folks for a walk along the seaside. Then we took a tour to the top of the world. There is a great view from the top of the world but it has a scary bell that rings every 15 minutes. I think it must be the top of the world monster who rings the bell regularly so that the man downstairs can send him new tourists for dinner through the elevator. Luckily for us we live in the neighborhood so we got down again safely.
